Bowlerama was a local production that aired on KMSP during the 1980s. Similar to KSTP’s Bowling for Dollars (and also hosted by Johnny Canton) local bowlers competed for prizesCredit: Shawn Wilsie

Terry Schroeder: What a good Throw Back Thursday, Thanks for making this available. How about them BIG glasses?
Howard Luloff: I remember the revival of the long running Twin Cities bowling show Bowlerama. I never saw the original since I was living in New Jersey but I remember the 80s incarnation that was hosted by Johnny Canton. The show gave away valuable prizes and the least a contestant could win was dinner for two at a Red Lobster.
Everybody won on Bowlerama. Thanks for posting this.
Matt Morse: These are great. I worked in the industry for many years and remember many of the centers they showed during the credits. Keep Posting!
Andy Stockey: Did Bowlerama cut the show down to 30 minute episodes for its final season? I watched the show regularly when it aired on Saturday mornings. I didn’t see any episodes during the final season when the show was switched to the late night time slot on Sunday evenings. I didn’t understand why the show was switched to a late Sunday time slot. I don’t imagine that too many people would have stayed up that late to watch the show.
khris finger: I am wondering if anyone knows where I can find other episodes. My mother who passed away 16 years ago was on the show a few times. I would love to see the episodes if possible.. Thanks in advance.
