Friendly Operators, No Phone Books, Direct Connect, Free Call, 1980s Synthesizer theme…the ConnectionThis commercial was a fixture of daytime TV for years until the internet bumped it from it’s relevance. For me the best part of these commercials were the computer graphics and the theme. In this Connection commercial from 1986, John Hines invites viewers to write their own Connection commercial with a chance of starring in a commercial or having it read on WLOL.

Monika: Thank you for posting this! The Connection was amazing. We used to use a dial-up modem to log in and search their database for movies to see. I miss the synthesizer!
