Before Frank and Amelia on WCCO, the Twin Cities had “The Weather Couple” on KARE-TV. Albeit a short stint, Married Meteorologists Sally Patrick and Andre Bernier provided weather on News11 Sunrise together in the fall of 1987, Sally inside and Andre in the backyard. In early 1988 Andre Bernier went to WJW-TV and has been there ever since, bringing the concept of outdoor weather broadcasting to Cleveland. Sally soon followed and also provided weather forecasts to the Cleveland area until retiring from television in 2009.Andre has provided great contributions to tcmedianow.com and was gracious enough to provide me this interview virtually in 2009.
