Jan Griffiths: My late aunt lived near the airport, and she and my uncle were returning home when the crash occurred. They were on Middlebelt Road about a half-mile from the crash scene, and they saw the whole thing. So sad. I’m glad that Cecilia survived, though. She truly is a miracle.

Matthew Brenner: I was in Chicago when Flight 255 crashed. I needed to make telephone calls back home and told the neighbors to turn the television and they did. I was watching WLS-TV at the time. It happened at 7:46CDT and my brother was living in Wyoming at the time. I walked by the former home of the Englerts when he lived in Tucson.When a major airplane crash happens, the destination takes the airplane crash harder than where it happened. Phoenix took the crash harder than Detroit because more people were returning home than going there. We need to have Cecelia Cichan look a likes.
