Would you trade your TV for a month for $500?  Keep in mind the year is 1979 and you have no cell phone, internet, facebook, newsfeeds, ipod, playstation....
A documentary on the effects of TV viewing done by Dave Moore and WCCO that aired in 1979.  Five families volunteered to have their TV disabled by a certified television repair technician (sent by Daytons) and figured out how to live without a member of their family (the TV) for one month.
