KSTP Eyewitness News at 5:30, May 1990.
One of the last newscasts to feature Stan Turner on KSTP. Turner still remained at Hubbard Broadcasting through 2002 on ANC. Turner and Kirstin Lindquist (of KARE-TV) were teamed up to do weekends in 1988. Lindquist left KSTP in the summer of 1990 weeks after this broadcast.
Several commercials in this post including a Twin Cities Live commercial with former Sports broadcaster Bob Bruce.

Found and restored for generations to come. A 1977 episode of Bowling for Dollars. Bowling for Dollars was a game show produced and aired locally on KSTP-TV in the 1970s. The premise was simple enough, contestants bowl for a jackpot and prizes. I understand from individuals that worked on the show, it was taped on Sunday morning about 6am and then aired on Thursday and Friday nights. Bowling for Dollars like Bozo was a regional "franchise" program, every market had their own version with a general format.

If you haven’t seen Barry ZeVan lately, you haven’t been looking very hard. Barry ZeVan, best known for providing weather casts to the Twin Cities and Minnesota, is still in the Twin Cities, and still creating media in front and behind of the camera.
TC Media and Barry sat down this past year. Watch Barry ZeVan talk about his journey to Minnesota and career in broadcasting. Listen as Barry takes us down memory lane to when we were all tuning into “Peek a-boo” weather as well as his other experiences in broadcasting including WTCN. Also added a “guest weather” appearance by ZeVan on Eyewitness News in 2004. Check back for more ZeVan video.
