Preserving Twin Cities Historical Media Through Legacy Artifacts
TCMediaNow, founded in 2009 by Tom Oszman, is dedicated to preserving and providing access to the rich media history and culture of the Twin Cities. The organization started with a collection of video tapes that were on the brink of being discarded, including valuable news and commercial footage. Despite being seen as outdated in the digital age, these legacy media artifacts were found to contain important historical content that would otherwise be lost. TCMediaNow works to digitize and make these materials accessible, ensuring that the unique media heritage of the Twin Cities is preserved for future generations.
